Configuring an email client involves setting up an email account on applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail, or mobile / tablet email apps. these settings with include incoming mail server (IMAP or POP3), outgoing mail server (SMTP), port numbers, and security protocols (SSL/TLS).  Hulme Tech Default Mail settings can be found here

IMAP is recommended for users who want to access their emails across multiple devices this however stores emails on the server which can also be great if you don’t want to loose any emails, however please note that if your email amount is large they hosting costs will apply.

POP3 is suited for those who prefer downloading emails to a single device. The SMTP server must be correctly configured for sending emails, this requires authentication using the same credentials as the incoming server.
